Our Story

2019 SAGE Executive Committee

Our mission:   To foster innovation, grow the STEM community, and engage intelligent, creative, and passionate young women in the everyday life of scientists and engineers at the National Laboratories.

The SAGE-S Summer Camp piloted in August 2018 with 20 participants from the greater San Francisco Bay Area.

In August 2019, we hosted 40 students from public high schools throughout Northern California.   Volunteers within the SLAC community give the talks, run the projects and tours, and host the Job Shadowing.

We warmly welcome the SAGE students coming to SLAC and plan to offer a hands-on experience of what it’s like to be a member of the STEAM community at SLAC (adding “Art” to STEM).
