Volunteer

Hundreds of volunteers make SAGE Camp happen.  They are dedicated professionals who work at our National Labs.  Thanks to SAGE Volunteers, students have a “front seat” and are able to hear life stories and career paths (often not linear!) from different types of scientists and engineers.

SAGE Camp volunteers are involved in the following activities:
• Technology and Career Talks – I am a physicist, I am an engineer, I am a scientist
• Job Shadowing (90 min/day, 3-4 girls/group) – show what your daily life is like
• Project mentoring (120 min/day, 4 days) – support hands-on team projects
• Professional Growth and Leadership - small group sessions on life skills
• Other activities – games, tours, poster session preparations, chaperones

Information and Training sessions are held in May-June-July.
LiveScan fingerprinting / Background Check is required for some volunteer positions.
