Poster submission Instructions
While this year's challenging circumstances would not permit the traditional in person poster session, we are experimenting with an online poster gallery to facilitate the exchange between SSI participants. All participants are encouraged to sumit posters to present their own research during the Institute. Instead of the usual fixed sessions, poster material, which can optionally include a short video in addition to a PDF file, will be on display in the online poster gallery throughout SSI. Topics for the poster session are not limited to the current year theme of the Institute. All participants are encouraged to submit posters and participate in the poster gallery viewing and follow up discussions with the authors directly. Poster authors should include their contact information, in your own preferred means, within the poster itself to allow other participants to reach you for questions.
Registered participants who are interested in submitting a poster should upload an abstract no later than 10-July. You will be notified by 17-July if your abstract has been accepted. If so, you are requested to submit poster material by 7-August (upload instructions will be updated here later).
Posters should be in PDF format. We recommend using A0 size (841 x 1189 mm / 33.1 x 46.8 in) and font size suitable for reading on physical posters. Landscape orientation is preferred for the online viewing.
Videos are optional. They can be in any YouTube compliant format, and up to two minutes long. Zoom recording is a convenient way to make the video. Presenters are encouraged but not required to appear in the video. A sample video on the poster session can be found here. Presenters will have the choice of keeping their video as public content, or have it removed at the end of SSI.
